He is the Macho Man of Tollywood. He creates ripples in the heart of fans with his superb style. His dialogues make masses to go out of control in the theatres. Every girl of Andhra Pradesh wish to have a bridegroom like him. Youth audience are passionate about his physique and try to attain it. He is the 'Chatrapathi' of Telugu Film Industry. He is Young Rebel Star for all his fans. He is none other than Prabhas Raju. Prabhas is celebrating his 28th Birthday today.

Personal Life: Prabhas Raju Uppalapati is born on October 23, 1979. He is popularly known as Prabhas in Tollywood. He is the nephew of great Tollywood star Krishnam Raju Uppalapati who is known as the Rebel Star of Telugu Film Industry. Prabhas was born and brought up in Chennai. He completed his studies in Chennai. With the Passion and Love he has for Cinema, he entered Tollywood in the year, 2002 with film 'Eeshwar'. He is gradually turning into great actor with every movie.

Film Career: Prabhas's early movies, Eeshwar and Raghavendra, did not fare very well at the box office but gained him good fame in Tollywood audience.

He gained stardom with M.S.Raju's film, Varsham. Trisha Krishnan was paired with Prabhas in this film. This film was declared as a blockbuster film right from the first show. Prabhas's energetic performance in action sequences brought him following in youth and mass. He also got Santosham Best Young Performer Award for this film.

After the success of Varsham, Adavi Ramudu and Chakram did not live up to the expectations of Prabhas's fans. But, Prabhas should be appreciated for experimenting with film 'Chakram' in which he will die.

However in September 2005, he made a comeback with the phenomenal blockbuster, Chatrapathi, opposite actress Shriya Saran. Chatrapathi made his image double and created a seperate action fan base for him. S.S.Rajamouli was successful in using Prabhas Macho look in this film. His expressions and performance in this film made him the real 'Chatrapathi' of Tollywood. It is the biggest success in Prabhas's career. He was nominated for the FilmFare Best Actor Award for his performance in 'Chatrapathi'.

Chatrapati was followed by unsuccessful films such as Pournami, Yogi, and Munna. Munna also starred Ileana opposite him. He continued to experiment with different movies like Yogi and Pournami. He is one among the very less number of hero's in Tollywood who try to experiment.

His recent film, Bujjigadu was an average grosser at the box-office. But, Prabhas was appreciated by one and all for extra-ordinary performance he showed in this film. He got much closer to mass with different style of dialogue delivery in this film. Despite these unsuccessful ventures, he continues to have a large, loyal fan base among telugu people, especially among females and young men. He is a great great actor.

He mould be coming as 'Billa' in his next film. It is the remake of tamil blockbuster film 'Billa'. Meher Ramesh is directing this flick. Anushka and Namitha are paired with him in this film. Prabhas is sure to rock audience with his stylised performance in this super stylish movie.

With the above information, one can conclude that Prabhas is undoubtedly the great future of Tollywood. He can be termed as 'Chatrapathi' of Telugu Film Industry. Let's hope that Rebel Star will rock audience with different movies in future.
