I have written this article on MagaDheera for MyMovie Colum in IdleBrain. I don't think that will get publish as I have discussed some -ve points as well.

Dear Blog Viewers,

First of all I would like to Congratulate WHOLE Team of "MagaDheera" for giving us feast to our eyes in this era of cinema.

I really appreciate Rajamouli who believed in RamCharan's ability to select this story for him and carry such a huge burden on his shoulders.Ofcourse Thanks to Allu Aravind and Chiru for accepting this Story(Otherwise this film wouldn't materialized) in Charan's 2nd film.

Coming to My Movie -- MagaDheera is certainly Live up to the expectations as MEGADheera. As I am big fan of Chiru and never miss his films on the First Day. The saga continues here in USA too. Thanks to Virginia who has Strong Telugu base community who love Telugu Cinema. Only Movie that I missed FIRST Day that I am aware of is --> JaiChiranjeeva as I was in Salt Lake City,UT during that time(2005). I didn't feel regret after I watched that movie later on in DVD.

Magadheera wave started much before its release and we were very eager to see the movie. Magadheera is release in WorldGate Theatre Complex(9 theatres), Herndon,VA. Believe it or not, First time in my US history, I have seen BIG line formed specially for this Movie(Due to 2 Theatre release in First Time in USA History in Same Complex). Theatre management created sign boards(Magadheera Line Starts from here) to organize the HUGE crowds and avoid inconvenience to other people(who came for other English movies).

We secured back seats(Thanks to my sister's family who hold the seats for us) and we settled down in the seats along with Stroller(First movie to my 7 months old son). And people started whistles with Kekalu and Arupulu even before the film starts and my son woke up due to the sound. I thought we will be having tough time with him.

Movie Begins:
Movie begins with very good Color combination(with New Geetha Arts Logo) with golden color letter with good font. Very good digital color effects in the titles itself with background Srihari voice counting. That was very good feel as I already review the review about 100 men fight and I thought that background comes from that scene. People are heavily screaming(My son is still crying and that's not audible because of whistles sound) when the Titles got rolled on.

FIRST SCENE:
Very first scene after Titles when RamCharan appeared(Flashback shot), Believe it or NOT -- Its a pin drop silence in Theatre when Hero's Introduction. Thank God my son stopped crying since then. Its amazing feeling for me how the director and Editor selected particular scene for HERO's Introduction. I felt in the moment that MagaDheera surely going to be a different movie. The first 10 minute of the Movie with Great Technical work(Digital Color effect with DI work) was fantastic. Kudos to Technical Department. As I love Photography and I can feel it when I see the frames.

FIRST SONG:
Though Charan has performed very well in Chirutha, In "Bagaru Kodipetta" Song he has crossed limits in dancing. Chiru should be feel very proud of his son.

Chiru's Impact:
My personal feeling is Chiru's special appearance doesn't impact much in this film. Director must have included some other fashion. Hope they would have been hurry to include in some way as Chennai Song shooting schedule is nearing or coming to end soon.

FIRST HALF Overall:
First half, director handled the subject in nice way. When Charan n Kajol are walking, their hands were supposed to touch(Director handle the scene very well as people are eager to see with tension) and he steps away from her.

Fight Department should be appreciated for Charan's Bike feat. I guess that was from Peter Master. Kudos to him.
And villain Dev Gil also acted very good.

SECOND HALF:
The momentum starts when Old Man announce the Character "Kala Bhairava" just before the Intermission. The Whole episode of Flash back was WONDERFUL treat to the eyes with exceptional Art Department's work and Cameraman Senthil's team work with very good lights.

Hats off to RajaMouli and his Technical team to make their Imagination to Real and Live in the Silver Screen from Blue Screen. The way they shown the Fort is amazing

100 Men Fight: -- Highlight of the Movie
Though the Fight scene got inspired from '300' movie(I have seen this movie after Magadheera), TELUGU cinema could able to make that fight so wonderful. Its like "Na Bhooto Na Bhavishyat". We didn't see such wonderful momentum in Fight in Telugu Cinema. Big THANKS to MagaDheera Team that made possible and Charan has done terrific job while handling the Sword and Other equipment.

Recognizing the Whole Team: (Might be inspired from Om Shanthi Om)
Its a very good thought of showing all the Team in the End with Rolling Music with simple funny steps by all the crew.(Including RajaMouli and Allu Aravind).

BVSN Prasad: Eveyone is now takling about greatness of Allu Aravind as Producer. There is NO doubt about that to chip in Enormous amount of money with Hope. But Executive Producer, BVSN Prasad who was with the whole team (Allu Aravind is busy during Election Time and Ghazani Time) is NOT appreciated a lot. So let us recognize him as well.

As Everyone taking about the Greatness of the movie, Let me get into Flipside of the Movie.

1) Hero's Bike Jumping scene, when Ram Charan name display with Screen Pause. That time his face was like Comic Character. That should have been avoided. I guess Rajamouli have passion(may be thats his lucky thing) to display Hero's name when Hero is in Air (I think he did the same in Simhardri too)

2) In Flashback Episode, I didn't understand when DevGil and RamCharan had a competition, why suddenly land becomes white color from Sand color?? At the same time while Ramcharan returns to Fort after the help of Horse, scene could have been handled properly. I know it may get more length for the film.

3) After the Flashback episode, Director is Injected the Item Song. That scene shows up clearly that its created for the sake of the song. Of course we can't do anything if you look into Commerical movie Elements.

4) But I strongly feel that Director should Improve to handle the better healthy comedy. Rajamouli has B/C grade comedy talent in his movies like Vikramarkudu and Yamadonga and etc. Might be good for Rural area people who are the supporters with Mass image.

5) In the Climax episode, how come one Zipsy could hit helicopter in the Real world from the land without high slope on road??? That was not Realistic.

I just mentioned these points to improve the director's capabilities though he has extrordanary talent by handling the subject. I can sit and make 100 comments easily and they know the real pain as they gone through all headaches.

As Film has got really good talk from the Day ONE, all these small -ve elements couldn't hurt anything.

Never the less, MagaDheera become MEGADheera with this movie.

I can see prople standing in big Q for 1.30 am mid night show in Virginia when we came out from 9.45pm show(over at 12.45 midnight)

Ram Charan:
I should really appreciate your Horse Riding skills and the effort that you put on for this movie for almost 2 years(ofcourse with the whole team). You are the perfect hero for this movie. All the very best for all your future projects. Please select these kind of spl. subject apart from Regular Mass Masala movies with 6 songs and 6 fights.


Viewers/Movie Lovers and Esply Fans:
I would like to request and encourage these kind of period films with Different subjects. So, Artists can choose different subjects and present them differently. People who got fame as an IMAGE, they got into that sector and NOT coming out. Chiru and BalaKrishna are best example for that. At least Nagarjuna n Venkatesh should be appreciated as they do select movies different subjects.

SO PLEASE DO NOT EXPECT RAM CHARAN TO DO SAME WONDERS IN HIS 3RD MOVIE WITH BHASKAR. LET HIM HANDLE WITH DIFFERENT SUBJECT AND WE ALSO CAN NJOY IF MOVIE IS GOOD.

This is NOT only for CHARAN and for ALL who are bounded with IMAGE Specturm like Pawan Kalyan, Jr. NTR(After Simhadri), Mahesh (after Pokiri), Prabhas (After Chatrapathi), GopuChand (though he did good job in Okkadunnadu) are facing the BIG problem with BIG Image.

Thats Because of PEOPLE and VIEWERS. So Please accept all kind of movies(genre) if movie is good.

Rang De Basanthi
Wednesday ( I really wish we all should see this movie with KamalHasan and Venkatesh by Remake in Telugu/Tamil as Eenadu)

Munna Bhai MBBS ( What happend to our SankarDada Zindabad)

Kakka Kakka (Remade as "Gharshana" in Telugu with Venkatesh)
AutoGraph ( Remade as "Naa Autograph" in Telugu with RaviTeja)
Kaadal Konden (Remade as "Nenu" in Telugu with Allari Naresh)
Sethu (Remade as "Seshu" in Telugu with Rajasekhar)

As I studied my Engg. in Chennai, Tamil films made lot of impact on me because they have very good Subject apart from Mass Masala Formula and People are also accepting them. I would like to see the same with TELUGU cinema.

Thank God. We have accepted "Gamyam" movie. (I guess because of NO Star Image)
